In February Avon’s Town Historian and Church Historian Nora Howard (on the left) presented Heddy Panik, Society member/Trustee and volunteer in the Marian Hunter History Room of the Avon Free Public Library with a Commendation from the Avon Congregational Church for her “expert and professional care in processing thousands and of documents and photographs from the church archives, dating from the 1790s to the mid-1900s.”

The archived information is now available for the public to use for research. The Society endorsed this effort as a partner of the History Room in the Library.
