This page will focus on research about Pvt. Leverett Holden who served in the CT 29th Connecticut Regiment Volunteer Infantry (Colored). He moved to Avon before the Civil War and became a freedom seeker. His grave in East Avon Cemetery is the 164th site on the CT Freedom Trail.
