A postcard shows a decorated live Christmas tree on the chancel. The flag is a World War I Service Flag. This style of flag would have had a red border, white field, and blue stars. The stars may represent 13 ACC members serving in World War II. If a service member died in service, his or her star would have been in the color of gold. The two chairs beside the tree were purchased in 1896 by the Ladies Aid Society, and are still in use in the church. Avon Congregational Church Collection.
